                     ITERINARY

DAY 1:

           Our guide will meet you at the airport or guesthouse and begin the journey to Fortpotal the main center for Tooro kingdom . 330 km from the capital Kampala.

Lunch will be served at gardens restaurant in fortpotal City and then proceed to visit Amabere ga nyinamwiru caves stalacacites and stalagmites in fortpotal, crater view, mini hikes if you wish and return to the hotel for rest.

DAY 2:

           After breakfast we shall travel to kibale national Park for chimpanzee tracking, after tracking we shall do a swamp walk in Bigodi swamp where we are likely to meet over 9 primates, several bird species, trees and butterflies.

After lunch we shall do coffee and banana experience

DAY 3:

           After breakfast we shall travel to queen Elizabeth national Park, do morning game drive, where we shall be likely to meet the lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, warthogs, bushbuck, sitatunga and several primates.

We shall proceed to the evening boat cruise after lunch where water dwelling species like hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck on waterside and many others near the kazinga channel

DAY 4:

           After breakfast we shall drive to semliki national Park for hot springs, where both the male and female hot springs will be seen with their attached scientific and cultural information, visit the shortest people called Batwa , learn of their culture and practices.

DAY 5:

            After breakfast, we shall visit the Tooro kingdom palace, learn of the interesting Tooro culture and norms, then go for lunch.

After lunch we shall visit Tooro botanical gardens in fortpotal, where we explore the man made nature, visit mangabeys, fishing grounds, birding botany and others

In 1830 King/omukama Kaboyo Olimi 1 the eldest son to Nyamutukura Kyebambe iii of Bunyoro kingdom, succeeded and established his own independent kingdom. However his monarchy was abolished in 1967 but was reinstated in 1993

                  ITERINARY

DAY 1:

        Our guide will meet you at Entebbe international airport or any place in Kampala and move to the airport guesthouse for rest and refreshments, simple short walks in Entebbe and overnight rest

DAY 2:

            In the morning after breakfast, we shall begin the journey to Fortpotal tourism city through MUBENDE -Kyegegwa-kyenjojo and finally fortpotal City. About 300 km from the capital Kampala. Lunch will be served at Travels inn in fortpotal

After lunch we shall visit Amabere ga nyinamwiru (breasts of nyinamwiru) caves stalacacites and stalagmites in fortpotal City and see interesting natural features, get to know the cultural information and scientific background of the place

DAY 3:

             In the morning after breakfast, we shall visit the Tooro kingdom palace at the heart of Tooro, learn the cultural background of Tooro, cultural dishes, practices and way of life.

After lunch we shall visit Tooro botanical gardens in fortpotal for forest/ nature walk, primate viewing, birds, fishing grounds and trees.

DAY 4:

             In the morning after breakfast we shall travel to kibale national Park for forest walk where we can get a chance to see some primates including the chimpanzee and other mammals.

After lunch we shall move to the community for coffee and banana experience

DAY 5:

            In the morning after breakfast we shall visit Rwetera eco forest, a man made/ planted reserve with lots of primates like vuvvet monkeys, black and white colobse monkey and others

After we shall visit Mahoma falls and get to meet a cool natural environment with whispering ravens and rolling waters

DAY 6:

           In the morning we shall travel to semliki national Park for viewing mammals but the interesting part of it is the male and female hot springs experience with their attached cultural information After we shall visit the Batwa or pygmies or Bush men

DAY 7:

             After breakfast, we shall visit Rubona stock farm a government farm in Bunyangabu district majorly for providing demonstration to animal crossing and rearing, this is also known as the home of milk.

After lunch we shall visit the home of honey, a community project that joins all honey producing persons, enjoy the taste of pure and natural honey

DAY 8:

          In the morning we shall visit the home of wine in Bunyangabu, enjoy the natural refreshing banana juice alongside a delicious organic traditional foodstuff

In the evening we shall visit the Nsongya waterfall few kilometers from kibiito along kibiito - mujunju road 

DAY 9:

          After breakfast we shall visit the Rwagimba hot springs after a simple hike to the hot springs, enjoy the hot natural water, cook eggs and matooke in the hot spring

             Early morning after breakfast, we shall begin the journey to queen Elizabeth national Park, a savannah national Park in kasese where we shall have a morning game drive. We shall be likely to see the lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, warthogs or bush pigs, primates and birds

  DAY 11:

              After breakfast we shall visit Mwegenywa Crater lake in kiyombya sub county where the true green nature exceeds limit, enjoy the fishing experience, agricultural experience and traditional dances and play in Mahoma zone

             We shall visit katwe salt lake, learn and see how salt is locally extracted, visit the equator and katunguru fish landing site

DAY 13:

             ITERINARY

DAY 1;

          In the morning, we will pick you from the hotel, guesthouse or airport and drive to Murchison falls national Park.

Lunch will be served in Masindi and then drive 90kms. We will visit the top of falls with a wonderful view over Murchison falls and the Nile.

DAY 2:

             The day will be spent viewing game around the park and along the Nile., we will cross the Nile with a ferry at 7:00am and go for a game drive from 8:00am to 12:00 pm , here we are likely to meet lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards and antelopes.

In the afternoon we shall go for a boat cruise along the Nile up to the falls giving you a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and several bird species. 

DAY 3:

           In the morning, the boat will take us down stream to the delta where the Nile enters lake Albert, in this we shall see the elusive shoe bill stork. In the afternoon, you can relax or swim at your respective lodges 

DAY 4:

           Early morning we shall leave for kibale forest national Park. We shall have lunch in fortpotal City, have a city walk around the tourism city, go for dinner and rest

DAY 5:

            In the morning after breakfast, we shall have a 4 hour chimpanzee tracking, where we shall meet the closet relatives of man . We shall also get a chance to see the other primates like mangabeys, butterflies and birds .

In the afternoon we shall have lunch at Bee hive restaurant in Bigodi, then proceed through Bigodi swamp walk , also experience coffee and banana in Bigodi .

DAY 6:

              Early morning after breakfast we shall have crater lake exploration of fortpotal, the craters are safe for swimming and have sightings of monkeys , in the afternoon we shall drive to queen Elizabeth national Park via Mahoma falls, to Mwegenywa Crater and finally drive to kasese .

DAY 7:

           In the morning we shall do a game drive in queen Elizabeth national Park with hundreds of Uganda kobs, lions and elephants. 

In the evening we shall have a two hour launch trip on the kazinga channel where water side and water dwelling species including crocodiles, hippos and others will be seen .

DAY 8:

           In the morning we shall begin a full day drive in ishasha in search of the tree climbing lions, other animals like elephants and jobs will be sighted .

DAY 9:

           After breakfast we shall drive to lake Bunyonyi, a nice place surrounded by hikes of western uganda up to the landscape named Switzerland of Africa.

Visit communities and rest

DAY 10:

            In the morning after breakfast we shall leave to Bwindi impenetrable national park, for those who like walking, the first 14 km is a stunning beautiful walk along the lake shore.

DAY 11:

              This is a day for gorilla tracking, after finding the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them and get back before 6:00pm

DAY 12:

             After breakfast we shall travel to kisoro, visit communities and nature walk, experience Bakiiga cultural experience and heritage

DAY 13:

             After breakfast we shall undertake several interesting activities like climbing Muhavura volcano 12 km high in 8 hours, and visiting Sebinyo(cold man's teeth) gorge.

DAY 14:

              In the morning we shall leave for lake mburo, we shall have lunch in mbarara before continuing to lake mburo,

In the evening, we shall have a village cultural walk.

DAY 15:

             In the morning we shall have a morning game drive viewing over 68 mammal species including zebras, Impalas, bush bucks and many others.

An afternoon boat cruise where we shall see parmanent residents of crocodiles and hippos.

DAY 16:

              In this day after breakfast, the last part of our journey will bring us back to Kampala through MUBENDE to Kampala

Tooro kingdom is a cultural institution located in western uganda.

People native to the area are Batooro Tooro kingdom is headed by a king (omukama) and currently king oyyo Nyimba kabamba iguru Rukidi ivThe late father to the king built his kingdom palace up one of the highest hikes of Fortpotal tourism city called Karuzika, this was meant to ease intelligence against neighborhood kingdoms.

When at Karuzika hill, you are able to view the whole of Fortpotal.

The people of Tooro are known international to be hospitable, welcoming, friendly and a strong culture represented through traditional dances, traditional foodstuffs, social organisation through marriage functions and others. 

Tooro kingdom is composed of seven districts of Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Kyegegwa, Kamwenge, Kitagwenda, Bunyangabu and Ntoroko.
