Known for its powerful waterfall ,this tour highlights the natural wonders of the area.
It is also called the world's most powerful water fall. Previously it was called Kabalega national Park after Kabalega the great acient ruler of Bunyoro kingdom.
However in 1860, the English traveler Sir Samuel White Baker visited the falls and named them for the Geologist Sir Roderick Murchison.
Murchison falls national Park is located in Bunyoro region and covers an area of 3893km , accessible by road 305km from the capital Kampala.
Watch the endangered white Rhinos in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, have a cool drink then watch River Nile flowing by on her journey to the Mediterranean sea and listen to the sounds of an African night.
144 mammal species including the African elephant,giraffes, buffaloes ,uganda kobs and Nile corocodiles.
556 bird species including the shoe bill stork, white crested turaco, Red winged grey warbler, African fish eagle, goliath heron and saddle billed stork.
51 reptile species and 51 amphibian species
Have a boat cruise to the mighty Murchison falls and watch numerous mammals, lots of birds and very large Nile crocodiles.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ugandas largest savannah park and see lots of Uganda kobs, bush elephants and the endangered Rothschild giraffes, you can also have a glance of the elusive shoe bill, a mixture of a stork and a pelican when visiting the swamps near the delta.
ITERINARY
Day 1:
Our guide will pick you from any place in Kampala or airport and leave for Murchison falls national Park via Masindi, we will stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for watching the rhinos and have lunch In the afternoon, we will stay with a cool drink and a fabulous view over the Nile.
DAY 2:
In the morning we shall have the interesting launch trip on the Nile to the falls, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes and birds are likely to be encountered.
We shall also have a game drive where we shall cross the Nile and special here are lions and giraffes.
DAY 3:
After breakfast, the last part of the journey will bring us back to Kampala to your preferred hotel, guesthouse or Entebbe international airport. An extra night in our program will be possible at a separate cost.
